This book covers both a fictional discworld story of the Unseen University's new power source and quite a serious look at the sciencific creation of our own world. Very entertaining and thought provoking work! Now has been followed up by Science of Discworld II and III. A first edition hardcover copy of this is hard to find so if you have one look after it, it may be worth something.
