- Heroism: There is a pervasive discussion about the differences between being a hero and being the protagonist. While there is an idealized image of "the hero," by the end of the story it is made clear that it's probably better to be a protagonist instead - the character a story follows, rather than a character who has to exemplify many/all virtues.
