I was thrilled that this was the prequel to the Moorehouse Legacy series of books I've read. This had Callie, the secret child of a powerul man, and Jack, a rich venture capitalist who is also running for governor, falling instantly for each other. I liked that all-consuming passion that Jack has or Callie which goes against his lifestyle and principles. Callie I don't like so much because I thought she was too passive aggressive and she was asking too much from Jack to save her family secret considering her family had not done anything for her. ”

A good premise but the heroine’s secrets put a serious dent in the story. The mothr was entirely too evil. Wish I had more to say but that is the extent of my notes.
