Ridiculously Simplified Synopsis
Summary
Diary of a Wimpy Kid is about a kid's life in school and out of school. On Halloween, his friend Rowley dressed as Superman and he dressed as a lazy man. At school there was some rotten cheese and started the cheese touch. At the end, it showed that he wasn't so much of a wimpy kid.
Cast of Characters
- Gregory Heffley: The main character. He is the "wimpy kid" and the owner of the journal/diary, plus he is the narrator of the series. Has two brothers...
- Manny Heffley: Greg's little brother, who calls Greg "Bubby." He is always causing trouble and bothers Greg just as much as Rodrick!!!
- Rodrick Heffley: Greg's older brother who loves bothering Greg.
- Susan Heffley: Greg's mom
- Frank Heffley: Greg's dad... He hates teenagers and loves reading the paper...
- Rowley Jefferson: Greg's best friend who usually helps with Greg with his schemes. His real name is Rowan.

Glossary
- Cheese Touch: Noun. A taboo of touching a horribly rancid cheese on the basketball court of your school, hence causing people to avoid you. You can pass on this cheese touch to another by simply touching that other person, and that person to another, and the cycle goes on.
