“1.) “Why should we have to move into a city where we don’t know anyone or the family that we are going to be living with?” The importance that this quote has on the story is there will always be problems to follow you. When you are moving into a different state and you don’t know anyone, you might get picked on. People may also just use you for your background or even your money. Evyn and her brother Mackey had to move from Maine to Boston. Evyn is very upset that her father married after knowing the woman two months. Evyn is going to an all girl school and she is upset that the girls that talked to her were only using her to get to her stepbrother Ajax. Evyn told are girl that Ajax liked her when he didn’t like her. The girl was mean to her ever since. The quote affected this story because when they moved to Boston with the Gartos’ it took Evyn a long time to get used to the family. Evyn picked little things out to help her remember the family and even pick on them. The “sweater twins” got this nickname because one day they were fighting over a sweater. Ajax got the nickname “cleanser boy” because his name is a dish soap. She didn’t give Thialia and Linus nicknames because she have a problem with them. And the same happened with Phoebe because she didn’t really talk to or bother Evyn. 4.) When Evyn got hit in the face by the soccer ball and broke her nose, it reminded me about what happened to my sister. She was watching me one day and wanted to go to her boyfriend’s soccer game. We met up with her friends and went to the game. The ball was kicked out of bounce and hit her in the face. I tried to warn her but she was to busy talking to her friends to listen to me telling her that there was a ball coming towards her face. There was blood everywhere and bloody tissues all around her. All her friends were joking about it. She was in the middle of laughing and crying. I wasn’t able to tell what she was doing more. When the got the bleeding to slow down we went to the hospital. It was a good thing that my mom was working at the hospital that day because she helped out my sister. It was also a good thing because my sister got in trouble. Why it was a good thing that she got in trouble was because I loved to see her get in trouble and get mad. I was a mean sister when I was younger. She got in trouble because we weren’t allowed to go anywhere. That is how I related a part in the story to my life.29.) I feel that the main character in the book was weak. I feel this way because Evyn didn’t seem like she was in to solving her problems. Unlike Lush and Perfect Evyn didn’t seem to care about what was going on around her. The only thing that she really cared about was the fact of her father marrying after two months. When she was talking to “Stella” her feelings changed in many ways. She acted like it didn’t bother her that the “It Girls” were just using her to get to Ajax. When she talked to Jules she didn’t seem to care what the said. She didn’t even seem to care about one thing that Birdie was trying to tell her. She wasn’t trying as hard as she could to get her point crossed. In Lush, Sammi was very into her theme. She really wanted to have her father quite coming home drunk. Perfect Bella wanted her mother to start getting back in to their Hanukah traditions. When Evyn came a crossed a problem she said that she would say all of this stuff to the people but she didn’t. She acted like she was afraid fir the people. To me Evyn was a weak character because she didn’t seem into the problems that she faced and did act like she wanted to solve them.It was an alright book I guess....I dont know if it was just me or if anyone else noticed that Evyn didnt seem so into her problems as Sammi from Lush and Isabelle from Perfect.”
