Come on...with lines like, "You can go by foot. You can go by cow." Good stuff.

I adored this book as a kid. I would make my parents read it to me over and over until I could read it myself. Marvin K. Mooney...I don't care how...Marvin. K. Mooney, will you please go now! :D

Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now, by Dr. Seuss, is a funny childhood classic beginner book. This book starts out with an adult telling Marvin K. Mooney that he must leave. Marvin just stands there and listens until the end of the story, when he leaves. This book travels through all of the different possibilities that Marvin can go in a lyrical manner with rhyming words. All of the suggestions are very unlikely vehicles as a flying hat or an old blue shoe to Dr. Seuss’s Crunk-Car or Bumble-Boat. The humor in this book is bright and the illustrations of this book are very witty and imaginative which encourage the reader to keep on reading. In addition to the illustrations, there is a lot of repetition and rhyming which make the reading very enjoyable.

This is my favorite Dr. Seuss book. I remember laughing as my mother read it to me as a child. Now my daughter laughs whenever I read it to her.
