“Great, other book not-so-great”
“I have just started to read this, book so far i have not been too interested, but i am hoping the pace will speed up. Will it?”
“I loved this book! Ken Kesey is a genius at explicating the underlying truths of our nature.”
“Fabulous!”
“best book ever”
“Remember when we were told that If we opposed to the Irag-istan war we were considered Anti American and had our phones tapped? How is that like Mc Murphy stealing the School Bus to try to give the inmate a taste of freedom?”
“I thought this book was very very good, studied it back in school, and have since re-read it. I also think the movie is great, and there is an awesome Simpsons episode that makes reference to it.”
“yes the acting was great, but the story had to be so turned around, to get it out of the chiefs head as to lose too much, i dont think i could have made a better movie, just it lost a lot from the book”
“I read the book in the late 1970s after seeing the movie when it first came out. I'm not sure whether this portrayal inspired Stephen King, but I can say that some of the psychiatricpractices and institutions of the times were quite accurately portrayed.I agree that the book is better than the movie but Jack Nicholson and Will Sampson (as Chief Bromden) were outstanding.”
“wonder if this inspired stephen kings misery nurse?”
