The ghostly Governor's Bridge in Bowie, MD
  • Governor's Bridge: The Governor's Bridge is an old steel structure one lane bridge, rusting away on the Governor's road that takes you over the Pautuxent River. As told by the police officer, "The smell of death is constantly in the air around the bridge." During the filming of the scenes, at the bridge, you could actually smell the death around you, but found it to be dead deer. The officer said the only problem is, on the one lane bridge, all traffic must stop before proceeding and does not drive fast enough to hit the deer. He also stated that there are anywhere from three to four deer always found dead near the entrance of the bridge. Two weeks before the filming there was an accident where some young boys came down the hill, with one of them hanging their head out of the passenger window. When they entered the bridge, the boy's head was decapitated due to striking the entrance cable. The crime scene tape was still attacted to the railing.
