I think it's way better than twilight, and I'm kinda scared to watch the movie. It's going to be nothing like that book and I kinda don't think that the producers chose the right girl to play as the role of Lindy. Anyone think agree or disagree?

I know that a dark haired main girl character is not the stereotypical compared to a blonde but I think that that's what makes it more interesting.

It wont ruin the book! Books and movies should be treated as individuals. Even if the movie sucks the book will still be good.

Just got done reading this book and I loved it. Not only because Beauty and the Beast was my favorite fairy tale but because it related to this time period too.

I saw a preview for the movie, the kid doesn't look like a beast as portrayed in the book, he looks more like he went a little too crazy with some tattoos. I'm disappointed by that, but hopefully the rest follows the book well. We'll see once it comes out

Yes. Sadly, the actors don't have that "feeling" to them. Isn't the guy supposed to look like a beast? And yeah, it would be weird if he transformed into...Chewbaca. But the dude in the show just looks like a person who lost his hair through chemo, cut his body up, and got a whole bunch of tattoos. So that kind of ruined it. Vanessa Hudgens wasn't exactly what I was imagining when I thought of Lindy....she doesn't fit. I'm not hating on Vanessa, but i don't think she suits the role. Mary Kate doesn't really strike me as Kendra either; I expected her to look a little older. But hopefully the movie goes along with the book.

I have read this book and I throughly enjoyed it. I like how it is a twist on Beauty and the Beast in modern times. My favourite part of the book was the online chats that the author wrote from the oginial Disney charaters like Ariel, The Frog Prince, Rumpelstilkskin...e.t.c. I found that the online chats were very humorous and were a nice break from the story, as well as a great intro.

I am a 6th grade English teacher and as their final project, one of my classes wants to explore fairy tales and modernize them. We are going to look at Beastly and possibly Cinder. Then they want to modernize another fairy tale such as Rumpelstiltskin and make it about 6th grade.
