  • Pope Benedict XI: Cooperated with the King of France by ordering the dissolution of the Order in 1307.
  • Saladin: Commander of Islamic forces that defeated Templar and Christian forces in1187.
  • Philip le Bel, King of France: Philip le Bel, King of France, ordered the dissolution of the Templars. His agents arrested and imprisoned members of the Order and seized the property of the order in a coordinated action in 1307.
  • Jaques de Molay: de Molay was Grand Master of the Order of the Temple at the time of dissolution in 1307.
