War is a dark and twisted time in any history book. Two sides clash with each wanting the same thing, but only one will come out victorious. In order to win the brawl, a side will do whatever it deems necessary. Usually, this will involve countless deaths, destruction, and trust their enemies into years of agony, pain, and turmoil.
Few have come to realize the full potential of the being that most people, in the scientific world, would refer to as a Homo sapien, or human. Humans have spanned to a multitude of worlds, each carrying on a civilization similar to the one we know here on Earth. All have lived in prosperity, or at least until one world discovered something unusual.
New Earth, or a brother world to Earth, harbored an ancient secret. A book known as 'The Chronicles of Time,' held the key to unlock a power that each human carried with him or her. That power was invested within their soul. At first, this power was strong and used for much good. Even still, the best intentions were foiled as the ancient civilization, that kept this power for themselves, vanished without a trace. The story of this nation was passed down as nothing more than a myth from generation to generation.
In the year 1969, this book and all its power was rediscovered. An incident forced the entire world into panic as they realized that this power was real. In order to protect it and prevent other dangers from arising, the world leaders turned to a man named Richard Thomas, who was the king of a domain named Vineland. What people did not see, was that jealousy had taken root in the mind of his younger brother, James. With a legion of followers who were determined to take this mythical book into their own hands, James led a revolt on Vineland. In a matter of hours, James had stormed into the castle and into the room where the book was hidden. With only a handful of followers remaining, they proceeded to take the book. When their hands came in contact with the book, a light ripped from the book's pages and unlocked their souls. Several died on the spot. James experienced such a rush that his body was flown from the castle window and hurled to the bottom.
Only a few days later, the survivors of this event had united into a group, calling themselves 'The Human Paragon.' With a power that no one could stop or control, they set out on a quest to take control of every human world by any means necessary. Their argument was that they were the most superior form of life, and that they deserved to rule all. With no one powerful enough to stop them, world by world began to fall and crumble. Armies were slaughtered and cities burned to the ground. Even King Richard, who soon after unlocked his own soul to fight back, was powerless to stop some of the Human Paragon's members.
King Richard, who was desperate for a way to save mankind, began searching through 'The Chronicles of Time' for any answer he could find that might help. What he found was a prophecy, foretelling the events to come. In the year 2004, it was said that four people would arise to fight back and save mankind. Their names were given: Matt Reynolds, Mike Henderson, Alex Smith, and John Wilson. The question that everyone now wondered was that when they did come, thirty-five years into the future, what would be left to save?
In a moderate-sized city on Earth known as Field City, there lived four boys named Matt Reynolds, Mike Henderson, Alex Smith, and John Wilson. They were the best of friends, all united by their common issue of being at the bottom end of the stereotypical high-school social ladder, being bullied and harassed daily. Everything changes when Matt dreams a dream of an unusual storm, and that dream becomes a reality. This storm transports them to New Earth, where they learn all about the war at hand. Not only do they learn that our world is the only world that is untouched from the Human Paragon, but they learn that they are the only force in existence that has the ability to rise against them. Being the young pre-teens that they are, will they be able to rise up against the challenge of the Human Paragon? Or will their saga end as early as it begun?
