This is probably my favorite one of Ivory's that I've read so far. I loved the two main character's and that they weren't the types that you usually find in historical romances. I also enjoyed that it wasn't a well-to-do man trying to give the outcast lady a makeover but the other way around. Also for some reason I really enjoyed that the hero's profession was a rat catcher.
