The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde has 238 pages and is written by Robert Louis Stevenson and adapted by Mitsu Yamamoto.

The book is about Mr. Utterson, an old friend and lawyer of Dr. Jekyll, who on a walk with his cousin, Richard Enfield, hears about a horrible man named Dr. Hyde who Mr. Utterson suspects of blackmailing Dr. Jekyll. Since Mr.Utterson is Dr. Jekyll's lawyer he has the doctors will, wich he reads and sees that it's adressed to Mr. Hyde, so Utterson starts to follow Mr. Hyde and discovers he always goes to Jekyll's house at the end of the day. So he tells Jekyll he wants to help him but Jekyll says that he cant be helped and then Utterson gets a letter that says "Not to be opened until the death or dissapearance of Henry Jekyll".

A year goes by and Utterson almost forgets about Hyde until he hears that Sir Danvers Carew had been beaten to death by Mr. Hyde. So he he tells Jekyll about the news and Jekyll didnt seem surprised. Afterwards Utterson notices that Jekyll suddenly stopped going outside or talking to anyone. He finally goes to seee what Jekyll was doing only to find Hyde dead on the floor. He finds a letter in the room that explains that Hyde was the evil side of Jekyll who had been made by an experiment. Hyde was meant to be another person but ended up sharing the same body as Jekyll. After awhile Hyde ended up taking over Jekyll's body. And the book ends here leaving you to think of what happend to Jekyll.

I really liked this book because it was very interesting to think about if this was real and what would happen if that happened to me. I think that everyone that likes suspense and mystery.

I think that the theme of the story is that everyone has a dark side but you shouldnt let it take over like how Dr. Jekyll did with Mr. Hyde.
