After quite a number of attacks and left without protection from both the vampires and werewolves, Alexia decides it is time she quit London in search of proof that her "delicate condition" is in fact Lord Maccon's fault. There is no price too high for Alexia to pay to prove the intolerable man wrong. Unfortunately, those who would rather not see her meet her goal, make her life rather difficult whether she is in London, Paris or Italy. Meanwhile Lord Maccon is making life intolerable for those around him and only can Professor Lyall be the one to knock some sense back into him.

Characters edit see section history

  • Madame Genevieve Lefoux: Brilliant French inventor with a penchant for wearing gentleman's clothing.
  • Floote: Alexia's personal secretary and librarian who formerly served as the Loontwills' butler before her marriage to Lord Maccon and served Alexia's father before that. • Lord Conall Maccon: Alpha of the Woolsey Pack, chief sundowner of BUR, and husband to Alexia.
  • Professor Randolph Lyall: The impeccably dressed and unwaveringly polite Beta of the Woolsey pack.

  • The Preceptor: Leader of the Templars in Florence and is responsible for upholding the Templar's tradition.
  • Lady Loontwill: Alexia's mother who enjoys shopping. Concerned way too much with what society believes is acceptable and/or proper. Not to be considered a caring or compassionate mother to Alexia.
  • Evylin Loontwill: Half-sister to Alexia and not very bright when it comes to things besides shopping.
  • Felicity Loontwill: Half-sister to Alexia and enjoys gossiping.
  • Squire Loontwill: Alexia's step-father and tends to be controlled by his wife and daughters.
