“I spent a good 2 weeks with this book as an assignment; I nearly know it by heart. But it is a book worthy of memorizing; if I were in Fahrenheit 451 universe, I might have picked this one. Short but important”

“Thought this book was difficult to follow and the print in my copy was too small to make reading even mediocre. I also thought the ending was predictable which is never what one wants out of a book. ”

“An interesting story of a man's journey through the Congo during imperialism. His journey also involves him trying to figure out whether the Africans need to be civilized, or whether civilization can exist in the jungle.

The story can be difficult to follow at times due to Conrad's writing style, but it is definitely a work that must be read by any serious literature student or lover.”
