Dante is one of the elite Breed warriors. Taunted by haunting premonitions of his own death, he has kept to himself and devoted his life to ridding the world of Rogues. When he is badly injured in a Rogue attack, he is discovered near to death by Tess. Dante takes her blood to survive, belatedly realising that she is a Breedmate, and that in taking her blood he had bound himself to her in the Breeds most sacred way.
Dante tries to stay away, but when a new drug that has disaterous effects on the vampires connects to Tess, Dante has to investigate. As the plot thickens, Dantes feelings for Tess get complicated. When her life hangs in the balance, will Dante make the ultimate sacrifice to save her?
I think this book suffered because Adrian insisted on weaving in a subplot from another characters point of view. The intoduction of Chase was distracting from Dante and Tess's relationship. Because of this shared page time, I didn't feel Tess and Dante building a relationship. They had sex a couple of times, Adrian threw in a few belated revalations about their past and I was supposed to feel the love? Didn't work for me.”

How I lov - Hey! What th “- ” gasped Sheridan in surprise, as her cold cucumber slices were plucked from her eyes by Lola who then proceeded to lie on the carpet next to her. Turning her head to the left, she watched as Lola placed the cucumber slices on her eyes. “So. Finished reading Dante’s book did you?”

“Tess and Dante are very strong charactors. Dante is wild and detatch from everyone until he finds he's accidently bonded himself to Tess. Tess has been running from her secret for years. She can heal or kill with a touch.

“This one was a bit slower then the first one. But still pretty good, I lost intrest in it a couple times. But in the end I was glad that I read it. ”
