There were three adventures in this book. The first one the boys' goal was to catch a bank robber. The boys knew that the bank robber would be at the bank so they found a sneaky way to raise money from their fellow classmates by offering lessons on how to be annoying. After getting into some trouble and being sent to the principal's office (their mom's office) the boys end up still getting to go to the bank because their mom has some business to take care of. While there they see a suspicious man reaching into his pocket. As he is doing this the boys yell thief! A different lady feels as though she has been caught and returns the money to the security guard. The boys ended up catching a bank robber even though it wasn't the one they suspected.

On their second adventure the boys are cleaning the house one day and stumble upon a hidden box in the closet. They believe it’s a treasure left by the man who used to live in the house. They end up getting to go to the hardware store where they were told by their mother to find a plunger. But while there they are looking for a key that could unlock the box. An employee of the store sees them walking around and thinks that they are trying to steal something. The boys think that this man is the ghost of the man who used to live in their house. Once the man confronts them he realizes that a key is not needed to open the box. When he tries to open it the boys stop him and tell him that there is a dead naked mole rat inside the box. The boys rush home to open the box and find that inside it really has their baby socks, hat, and hospital bracelet inside. Their mom comes in and tells them that the box really is a treasure.

Their third adventure they want to over haul a king. They boys decide that they cannot go to school and over haul a king’s throne all in one day so they do a dance of sorts to try to get the snow to come. They are unsure if this plan will work so they hope that by taping white paper all over the windows that their mom (the principal) will think it has snowed and cancel school. The next morning they wake up to realize that school has actually been cancelled. They wait inside for a long time hoping that their mom doesn't go outside to see that there really isn't snow and that the boys were just making everything up. The boys decide to invent a machine that they can use to over throw a king. Their mom sees this and tells them that they are making a snow ball throwing machine and should go try it out. The boys go outside and see that there actually is snow and that their chant really worked. They end up getting into a slight confrontation with the neighborhood bully after he declares himself the snowball king. The boys trick him into sitting on the catapult of sorts they designed and then launching the bully down the hill. Therefore allowing them to over throw the king and all the kids of the neighborhood call the boys the new "Snowball Kings".
