“Jet reminded me so much of myself. She runs from situations and she takes on too much without wanting help from others. I identified with her much more than I did Indy. I love how everyone came together for her in this book....especially with her being somewhat new to their circle.
Eddie was very intense. I'm disappointed he never said he loved her in the book. I can't say that I felt he was there by the time the book ended. He did save her and what girl doesn't want to be saved!?! Especially by a hot guy. I don't really have a vision for Eddie looks like though. After the first book, I felt like I could spot Lee walking down the street! Maybe that would have helped me connect to him a little more.
But overall the book was almost as funny as the first and it is definitely good enough to keep me reading the series. ”
I enjoyed the story and seeing the side characters all back together. The gang is fun, hit and hilarious when mixed together. This one in the series dealt with Jet, her looser of a father ( what a load of trash he was) her terrible insecurities, overwhelming responsibilities and her unending self depreciation. This girl is determined to be undeserving no matter what. I found that so distasteful and the amount over done for my taste. Her father, got in debt and everyone if running around trying to get to him before the bad guys do. Lives are threatened, blood is spilled, and lies are told. It gets crazy intense, and still manages to have some LOL moments. I just didn't like these tow very much. She was so self defaming and he was way too possessive
Eddie, what can I say he's hot, he's sexy, he's not afraid to push and he's super interested in Jet. He is close to his family and his Momma is very interested in grandchildren. He pulls out everything for Jet, no holding back only to be knocked back again and again. I found him a bit too caveman with the 'My Woman" stuff
I like this authors style very much and enjoy her reads I juts didn't love this one”

“First off, how could I not like a book that features Jet’s father walking in and singing “Jet” by Paul McCartney & Wings? I gotta love it, it is Paul McCartney (and so super cute when her father sings it for her.) However, that is the only cute thing that he does in this book. Jet’s father has some bad men after him and he leads them right to Jet, which Eddie does not approve of, at all.
I will say the favorite part of this book (besides getting to read about all the sexy man character’s in action) was the first few chapters. I loved how KA set it up as a continuous fail for Jet with her actions towards Eddie. For Jet, Eddie was so attractive that she couldn’t think straight and always made a fool of herself while she was around. This leads her to just ignore him when he was in the room or remove herself from that room so she would not embarrass herself. But she still does it anyways. At a party, when Jet tells Eddie that she doesn’t like his type (and he takes it as a racist comment) my heart quickly traveled to my throat! I found myself saying, “No, Eddie, come back. I personally know that she didn’t mean it that way. I swear! Kristen Ashley, you better fix this and fix this fast because I wanted my sexy Eddie back.” And when he comes back, *shoo* he comes back ready to fight for his newly claimed woman. how could you not like that?!
