“I'm currently on page 117, and I really like this book so far. It has a nice hook in the beginning and the story different from the other books I have read. This book is about a mother, Nina Bloom, and how all the previous events in her life affect her now. I must say, her life is pretty awesome! The book has a really good plot. When she was in her college years, Nina went to "party" with her boyfriend and her other friends. When it was nighttime, Nina caught her boyfriend cheating on her with her best friend. Instead of saying something or causing a scene, Nina left the place immediately without the two knowing and stole her boyfriend's car. That's all I'm going to say about the story; I don't want to give away the plot, because that's no fun. Also, Nina lied to her daughter about her dad, and even created a fake videotape about a fake dad's death to hide some upsetting truths about Nina's life earlier. This book slowly expands on Nina's life and connects all the bits and pieces that were left unanswered in the beginning. This book is definitely a page turner, and a fast, fun read. I think it would mostly appeal to us teenagers, but adults would enjoy it too. I've never read any of James Patterson's books before, so his writing his new for me. I like it, and I'm sure you guys would like it too.
I'm on page 278. I'm more than halfway done with the book, but I still have a lot left to read. The book is divided into 7 parts including the prologue and the epilogue. I love the author's style of writing, because he always uses cliffhangers to end a part of the book, so it always makes me turn the page. Either that, or he'll end it with a question, for example: "Now everything was okay, and back to normal. Or was it?..." Basically, this book is an amazing thriller. Nina Bloom is an epic character, a mother living the perfect life, with the perfect lie, dealing with perfect ways to die. The fact that I like most about her is that she is a woman. In thrillers and mystery novels like these, the main character is often a male. Nina Bloom, however, brings a different taste to the overall story, and I enjoy that a lot. This books involves lots of cops, mysteries, lies, twists, and drama considering Nina's past. He also provides good detailed descriptions of the scenes that are going on. I find detailed descriptions usually very boring, but he manages to make them interesting. If you're into this kind of stuff, I would highly recommend this book.”

“She should have done the right thing and report the accident, but she seizes what appears to be a chance to escape jail time. The effects of this decision linger for decades; the book extends past her fortieth birthday. Jeanine must learn that choices have consequences, sometimes deadly. There are wildly improbable coincidences, and cliff-hanging how-will-she-get-out-of-THIS-one episodes all along the way. It's not really a BAD book; it's just so....predictable.
