“ I really enjoy this book series. In this book, the flock has returned from their global warming adventure. But Maximum starts her own adventure. The flock meets another clone who was genitically enhanced with avian DNA, and his name is Dylan. Dr. Hans says that Dylan is created to be the perfect mate for Max. You read that correctly. Not only this, but Fang leaves the flock. He teams up with Max's clone, who now calls herself Maya (trying to gain a seperate identity). Maya and fang start their own flock of genetically mutated teens including a girl with super strength, a girl with super speed, and a boy who has enhanced senses. The two flocks eventually join to battle a cult called the One Light who want to kill all the humans on earth except for those who are genetically mutated to save the planet.”Sierra Cables wrote this review Monday, September 30, 2013. “This book is exquisite. I don't usually say that about a book, but this book sort of screams, " Rebel! " I like this book because it is exciting and action filled. I like almost all books, but this one was awesome. I also like the Maximum Ride books because they are written so that if you pick up the book cold (as in you have never read part of the series before), you can understand it. Sure you won't understand the story as well as other people, but you'll get a basic understanding. Max is my favorite character because she is so much like myself and Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games.”Anna Grace Roberts wrote this review Monday, September 16, 2013. “The plots are getting better!! This was slightly creepy, but kinda illustrates how easily we humans can be deceived into something that is totally wacked out.”Nicole Aster ~GOING TO ITALY THIS SUMMER!!!! “YAY, THE PENULTIMATE BOOK TO THE WHOLE SERIES!
Aiyaiyai, here comes the Doomsday Group, a new group of evil people who want to kill humans and save the planet! They hypnotize people into chanting with them to kill all humans and save the planet, which they all do, because they were HYPNOTIZED.
Max is informed by Dr. Gunther-Hagen that she will be the leader, or queen, of the new generation - Gen 77 - and that she will have to breed with Dylan in a special house Dr. GH provided them with, but they change the subject after Dr. Martinez, Max's mom, says that she is too young to breed or do any of that kind of thing right now, as Max was currently in depression over Fang's departure. Fang, in the meantime, creates a new flock with new flock members, and soon comes across Max II, who seems like the replacement for the real Max, although she now goes by the name Maya. What is Max going to do with all the people who got hypnotized by the Doomsday Group? What IS the Doomsday Group's actual purpose of hypnotizing those people anyway? Was it really just 'killing humans to make a better place' or something much bigger than that?
THE PENULTIMATE (SECOND TO LAST) BOOK OF THE SERIES! I enjoyed this book a lot, but not as much as the last book, because I was sort of disappointed by some of the events that happened in this book, although it DID have a good beginning and ending. Nevertheless, it was quite a good read for one day that I finished in about 2 or 3 hours, and I would like to thank Aini again for recommending the series to me, and the author for creating this awesome series!”
