One review on the back cover refers to Uncivil Seasons as "a mystery of class and conscience." I couldn't agree more. It is a detective novel, but there is so much more to this well-written book. As his two detectives try to solve the murder of a senator's wife, Malone skillfully delves into the dirty inner workings of the elite of Hillston, NC. His detectives, Justin Savile and Cuddy Mangum, are two of the most original characters I've encountered. Savile is one of the elite, but he...
