  • Anna: The shyest one of the girls in the beginning, but as the book goes on becomes outgoing and quite popular. Only child and always feels she has to please her parents.
  • Emma: The confused one, who is quite nostalgic and easily feels guilty about everything. She's Anna's best friend in the beginning, but they begin to fall apart. She's a bit better socially but as the book wears on collapses in on herself and falls out with the rest of the world,
  • Mariah: The rebellious one, getting the girls in trouble in the first place. Acts older than her age, and is clearly troubled, rather emotionally confused.
  • Carl: Mariah's step father and father to her step sister, Jessica. He's very tough on Mariah and she feels she has to rebel against him.
  • Owen: One of DJ's friends that's over the night they go over. He and Emma get together and sleep on the same couch, but you only see him twice after that, and he only talks once.
  • David Allen: The Man Wrongfully accused being the attacker and also accused kidnapping Clarence Darrow
  • Silas: Emma's older brother, always looking out for Emma. Quite a hottie by the sounds of it, and knows Emma like the back of his hand.
  • Detective Stevens: the Detective on the case for the fake attack
  • Bronwyn: Silas' girlfriend until they decide to break up as they are going to different colleges.
  • Ms. Malachy: The School's crisis Councler
