“Twelfth Grade Kills
This was the last book in the chronicles of Vladimir Tod by Heather Brewer. To read this book you have to read the two books before this to get what’s going on. In this book I really likes Vladimir’s attitude. He is always unsure about everything so he thinks it through thoroughly before he makes a decision before taking action. I think this is a very good quality and it will help him throughout the book.
This book is about how Vladimir will find out dark secrets of his past. At the end of this book, Vladimir’s life will have changed forever. I think the surprises in this book are quite twisting. What’s for sure is that there are a lot of unexpected events in this book. In the end Vlad, in a way, will become the most powerful vampire on earth and Elysia.
Joss, Vladimir’s friend at day, slayer at night -read the book and the book before to understand this- is a mixed up person. He wants to destroy all vampire kind and all of Elysia but Vlad has become one of his best friends. He does not want to kill vlad but a letter arrives for Joss. It is from the Slayer Society and if Joss does not slay Vlad soon with a stake, then the whole of Slayer Society with come and do a cleansing.
I would recommend this book to anybody who reads at young adult level because there is goriness and young romance and action. Lots, and lots, of action. There is also a hint of mystery in this book but will be shed with light at the end of the book. I will have to rate this 4 and a half stars. I did not put five because I thought things were a tiny too unrealistic at the end.
Elysia: A world that is everywhere and nowhere on earth that vampires live in.
Slayer Society: A Group of Humans who are bent on extinguishing all vampire kind.
Stake: A hunk of wood that is polished with silver ends. Also the only weapon that can kill a vampire if you stab him or her through the heart. It is the main weapon that the Slayer Society uses.
Slayer: Somebody who kills vampires.

“This is the book "Twelfth Grade Kills" , written by Heather Brewer. Book five of the Vladimir Tod series. It has a horror and action genre to it and yet has a hint of romance added to the mix aswell. The setting is in a small town called Bathory, Vlad lived in a house with his dead mothers old friend , who he feels , is like a second mother towards him. The town which our main character in the story grew up in. Our main character is Vladimir Tod ,obviously. Better known as Vlad for short. I like Vlad's character most because he has a sort of hidden darkness in him that he won't talk about with just anybody. He struggles to show what he feels most of the time. He is usually confused about everything, his vampire side, school, and basically how he feels for others. My least favorite character would have to be , Meredith Brookstone, mainly because she was one of those typical popular girls that every guy has a huge crush on, even though she is this horrible , bratty , person who gets basically what ever she wants. Worst of all no one wants to smack any sense into her mind, no matter how much she bullies innocent kids at school!
This story is basically about a boy who isn't sure about his life anymore and his having trouble understanding who he is and why is like this. He has a typical life for the most part , except he's being hunted by a slayer and the fact that he's Vampire who doesn't even know his own father very well. He finds out the truth about his actual family and past and isn't to sure if he can handle it or not.
I'd recommend this to a friend who dislikes vampire stories because , this book is one of those types of books where , even though normally you hate vampires and feign their imaginary existence yet even so, you come enjoy the fantasy , and vampire genre more by reading it. It's one of the stories that can change your opinion on something entirely. It makes you want to try thinking out of the box every once and awhile, kind of shows you that it's okay to go out of your comfort zone and try new things. Core 2 X”
