The Minot Mission takes place in the final decade of the Soviet Union, the 1980's. The Soviets are trying to reduce their nuclear arms spending by creating a major catastrophe, detonating a nuclear missile in the ground at one of the largest nuclear missile bases in US in the hope that this will end the nuclear era.
  • Minot AFB, North Dakota: Situated in the north of the State, below the Canadian province of Manitoba. The Air Force base is a is a god forsaken, mostly snow covered, place during the winter months, when the infiltration takess place.
  • Moscow: Within the Kremlin walls in Moscow is where the mission plan is presented to Gerry Williams and Peter Shelby, the two captured Americans. The garrison within the Kremlin is also where some of their training takes place.
  • Port of Singapore: Where Williams and Shelby have a gun battle with Soviet agents.
  • Sydney, Australia: William's sister lives there.
