“This is a story about someone who is burdened by the weight of responsibility but thrives under that burden none the less. Each character has their own motivations for moving forward but the way they come together keeps you going to the next page. ”

“I would highly recommend this book to any of my classmates. This book was good because it had a lot of action and suspenseful scenes in it. I would recommend this to anyone who likes action and fantasy books. There are a lot of fighting scenes in this book and the pure rage the protagonist holds back is amazing. This book would also be good for some girls because there is a girl that the main character likes but the annoying jock likes her too and that creates a lot of anger between them. ”

“John is 15 years old and an alien. His people were almost all wiped out in a war. Nine children and their protectors, called Cepan, were sent to Earth to hide until they could fight back and take back their planet. Although the book was filled with suspense and action, it was pretty predictable. John is a great character, but I never felt as much sympathy for him as I think I was suppose to. Overall, it was a great new take on a scifi premise and I want to know what happens next, but I'm not sure I'll read the next one. ”

“Intense! Action packed! And flat out AMAZING!! It got kinda eehhhh.....at some parts, but overall it was great! So was the movie!”
