  • Liam: He was a steward on Deck E on the Titanic in 1912, and was about to die when Foster appeared and told Liam to take his hand to escape. He was recruited because he was smart in tough situations.
  • Maddy: She was saved from dying in a terrorist attack on a plane in 2010 by a mysterious man. She was a computer hacker for Microsoft, and was recruited because she was a computer genius.
  • Saleena Vikram: She was recruited in 2026 by Foster (the initial team leader) in Mumbai, when her skyscraper collapsed and a fire started. She was chosen because she was a Pikudo (Future Japanese craze) champion, and a good team leader.
  • Foster: The initial leader who recruited the team and showed them how to work things and how to 'TimeRide'.
  • Bob: Bob is ‘meat robot’ which was grown from a test tube at the start of book 1. His internal memory (known as AI) was transferred to the team's computer at the end of book 1 by Liam after his ‘death’.
