“I love Coupland sooooooo much. Thank goodness I found him. I just finished The Gum Thief and while I love Coupland and his words, this wasn't my favorite book. Not to say it was bad either, it wasn't at all. It was very sad and real and touching. I love the way he says the things you've always thought, but never shared. And his weird off the wall ideas about life or whatever. I really liked the idea of the book being broken up and being shared by various people, but I think its missing something. Also, Glove Pond had such promise and I don't think it quite ended in a satisfactory way. That said, I still really liked the book and quoted many parts of it. Check it out, its a good read. ”

“I really thought I would love this book. I count Coupland as one of my favorite writers. I started to think that in my 20's, I probably would have liked this book. But now it's not so cool to think life sucks, it's just depressing. I realize that's what the book is mainly saying, but it didn't *resonate~* with me like it might have when I was younger. A disappointment.”

“I couldn't finish reading the book. The writer wrote it in the dumbest way I have ever seen!! I really tried to give it a chance, since I saw a couple of reviews recommending it. However, I stopped almost half way through!!!! Sorry Guys!! You must have seen something in it that I haven't.”

“The first page of this book was quite possibly one of the greatest invitations to read that I have seen in a while. The book jumps around from character to character, to the fictional character and back again in an almost ADHD style. However, in this case it was brilliant, and couldn't be any other way. The ending was a bit disappointing, but such is the trend with most things these days. It is in fact a very quick ride, however soggy and depressing, it's still enjoyable.”
