“I was going to give this book a 4 star rating, but when I think about Logan it needed 5 stars. Logan is a big bad vampire lord who is a lieutenant of the Ancient One who has been sent to set up a security system for the Blood Center. Liese is a computer geek who is trying to regain control over her life after a bad breakup from her cheating, stealing ex-fiance. She has a mother with cancer who is taking treatments in Chicago and she needs her job at the Blood Center for the insurance. So, you can imagine her getting upset when Logan comes in to disrupt her workplace and threaten her job. But what she doesn't know is that there is more to the Blood Center that meets the eye and the Logan is more than just the CEO of a major security firm. Once again, Ms. Hughes has delivered a remarkable vampire tale that featured characters from her other stories in the series. I hope that she will eventually have a story for the Ancient One who is always heard from, but never seen.”
