One cute story between a boy and an author sharing letters.
Otherwise - boring! Overly simplistic.

A collection of humorous stories featuring a teenaged mummy, a homicidal turkey, and the world's largest pool of chocolate milk.

A few funny ones, but some lame stories: Jack Gantos's bloody wart did not impress me. Maybe it's more boy humor than my own?

Funny Business is the first of several books produced by Guys Read and edited by Jon Scieszka. Containing ten short stories written by some of the top youth authors of today, this book will appeal to both boys and girls who enjoy humor. Whether you like to read Jeff Kinney’s version of how to torment your younger sibling in Unaccompanied Minors, Eion Colfer’s entry entitled Artemis Begins, or The Bloody Souvenir by Jack Gantos these stories will make the reader laugh out loud. Although some stories are better than others, there is something for everyone including a story written in the form of letters exchanged between a student and a famous author. Kate DiCamillo and Jon Scieszka pen Your Question for Author Here which all students will be able to relate to as Joe is assigned a writing assignment and hopes the famous Mrs. O’Toole will help him out. True to form, she does help him out, but not exactly as he expects. Funny Business comes in at an AR level of 5.1 but will appeal to grades 3-6. It makes a great addition to a classroom or school library and is a wonderful read-a-loud with its short stories.

A interesting laugh out loud book. The characters are easy to relate to. I've read it and I'm a girl and still found it funny. Good for boys and girls.

This book is hysterical! It has about 10 short stories, and they are all about wild adventures, getting into trouble, having writing wars with an author, and even secretly owning a gigantic bird under your bed!
