I've quite enjoyed reading books that has a 'governess' theme but because I've read that My Favorite Bride was Christina Dodd's homage to one of my favorite classical movie, The Sound of Music, I was quite unsure whether I really want to read this book. After all, I don't want a copycat of one of my favorite movies of all time. But I gave it a shot, and I'm glad I did. My favorite Bride soon became one of my favorite romance novels.
