“Jacky Faber, rich from her exploits diving for Spanish gold, has purchased the Lorelei Lee to carry passengers across the Atlantic. Believing she has been absolved of past sins against the Crown, Jacky docks in London to take on her crew, but is instead arrested and sentenced to life in the newly formed penal colony in Australia. To add insult to injury, the Lorelei Lee is confiscated to carry Jacky and more than 200 female convicts to populate New South Wales. Not one to give in to self pity, Jacky rallies her sisters to "better" their position—resulting in wild escapades, brushes with danger, and much hilarity. Will Jacky find herself a founding mother of New South Wales, Australia? Not if she has anything to do about it!”

“I was pretty disappointed with the Wake of the Lorelei Lee. Up until now, the books have been surprisingly original compared to all the others. This one however, seemed to take a little bit from each of the previous books and just do it over again. There was nothing super interesting. It was still fun though, and it's always a pleasure to listen to this narrator.”

“Oh that Jacky Faber! She does get herself into serious trouble, but this one included an interesting "friendship" I didn't expect. Audio for the first half was lots of fun, but I read faster than I can listen, so I gobbled up the 2nd half in book form.”

“Wonderful!! Wonderful!! I love how the L.A.Meyer never let anything truly horrible happens to Jacky, like rape or prolong harsh torture. I can read it in peace without needing to worry too much about bad stuff that may happen, which will destroy my enjoyment of the book. Love it! Just as amazing and exciting like all of the previous books. Though there are parts in the book where I might weep in regret, there are also truly many cheerful areas too! Now, on towards the next book! Whoopee!!”

“Again a good story, until a little tryst of sorts with a pirate. I think the writer cleaned up the innuendoes at the end, but still.....”
