“It starts of with the main character Ty exploring a sub when he meets a girl named Gemma, Gemma was born topside, the topside is what is left of the earth. A long time before Ty was born the glaciers melted which left humanity in a panic. Soon people learned to live under the water which led to topsiders and people living under the water. Gemma was an orphan but ran away to get her papers signed by her brother so she does not have to live at the orphanage she just does not now where her brother is. Ty was born under the water with her sister Zoey and her mother and father. She appears to have a thing called a dark gift, people say on the topside say that people get it from living under the water for to long. but then a group called the celebite gang attack one of the homesteads near Ty's home so Ty and Gemma go of to try to arrest the celebite gang while searching for Gemmas brother. But near the end of the book it turns out the shade the leader is really Gemmas brother so he signs her paper and she is free
I really liked the book but it had some holes like how shade is totally ok about breaking Ty's ribs but isn't that ok about signing a simple paper. And how a guy is under the water for like thirty minutes with no suit and a survives but a girl is under the water for like five minutes and almost dies. The rest of the book was really good though.
I would rate this book seven out of ten because of the holes in the plot. But it did have some very good and exiting parts but in all it was very good. I think it might be better if the plot didint have all toes holes. ”
