My favorite historical novel. I have read two versions. One a very direct translation and enjoy reading both. Each chapter is like a story of its own and the most intriguing is the philosophy and art of war being portrait. Those who have read this should also see the long TV series from China available on DVD. Each episode is like a high budget blockbuster movie of its own.
