Excellent & well-written; author holds your interest with the serious plot of 2 boys switched at birth and undercurrents of the stupidity of prejudice & the KKK, with politics and romance mixed in

This was a whopper of a tale about two babies who went home with the wrong family. It was interesting to see how the two boys turned out in two different cultures and how the families worked together after they found out the truth.

This book is about politics and racism/KKK with a few romances and a baby switching thrown in.....it was an easy read with some 'over the top' emotional seens by a 19 year old kid and his racist father.....Some of the things they talked about really angered me and I would get riled up because of their stupidity and nastiness......then I would take a deep breath and realize that it was just a book and that I live in a place and with people that choose to accept people for who they are......not what they are.....I felt the ending was tied up a bit too nicely but....isn't that what romance novels are supposed to do???.....

This was an amazing book that really showcased the racial tensions just beneath the surface.

I found this book to be interesting because of the unusual plot. Boys get switched at birth but they don't find out until much later. It dealt with identity issues, prejudice, love and Cystic Fibrosis and how two families worked through lot of tough issues. I enjoyed it very much.
