This book, at first reminded me of early Anita Blake without the whining, or Rachel Morgan with out Jenks and Ivy, but it has rapidly become one of my top three all time favorites!!! I have reread this book (no lie) 3 times in one DAY!!! I could not wait for the sequel!! and it only got better!!!! and now I am gnashing my teeth to get at the third in the series!

I couldn't agree more. Very reminiscent of early Anita Blake, Rachel Morgan minus the lesbian stuff. Only the Mercy Thompson books are better.

Definitely one of my all-time favorites, this one. I think I like the third the most, but every great series has to start somewhere... :D
