As Leah and Ethan spend more time together, she learns Amish culture and Amish ways. She learns that Ethan is at the age where an Amish man can explore English ways and decide whether he is to be baptized or not. Ethan and Leah become close, but what really pulls them together is the tragic death of Rebekah, his little sister who was killed in an accident. Leah had roomed with Rebekah in the hospital when she was being treated for cancer, which started to go away after a visit from Gabriella, an angel she met. In the end Leah has to and does convince Mr. Longacre that she saw Rebekah and Gabriella together after Rebekah's death, and after that happens, Ethan's family takes a vacation. As Leah gets ready to head home, her parents leave before her, and she waits for Ethan to come back like he said he would. Ethan then confesses that he knows they will be together, no matter what. The story really needed to continue, but it ends when it ends. The story unravels on all 227 pages, and it's a book everyone needs to read.”

Again a teen read but I really enjoyed these books. Only take about and hour or two to read. Deals with teens facing life and death situations and understanding different cultures and values.”
