Summary #1 "Unfinished Busisness" by Jude Deveraux
Tyler Stevens a divorce lawyer has been cajoled by her much younger cousin Krissy into taking her place on a triip to Scotland whre she will perform her cousins job as secretary to her boss Joel Kingsley.
At first meeting Joel desnt seem to notice her nor address her or even realize that shes not her cousin Krissy who happens to be madly (or think she's madly lin love with) Joel. She lets this misunderstanding go by the way but soon it comes up when his self made girlfriend finds them mirthfully falling all over each other and unable to stop laughing. This does not amuse Ms. Celeste and she begins to take matters into her own hands and dismisses Taylor when it comes out that she is indeed not Krissy.
Taylor does not go home but goes on her own adventure and decides to investigate more by herself or so she has intended. When she goes out the next day and goes up to the castle she is dumped on by the good scottish rain and rushes for shelter and virtually runs into Joel where they then decide to investigate together and go to the nearest B & B for a meal and end up staying the night where they eventually make love and fall in love. But Taylor rushes back to NY with out another word to Joel thinking that this was it for the relationship when she gets home Krissy is called by Joel to come to Scotland in a hurry and then she calls Taylor to come pick her up as is wanting to introduce her new fiance who Taylor has assumed is Joel.

Summary #2 "Fall From Grace"
Grace McNish grandaughter of the clan leader Angus McNish of Isle of Nish is worried deeply about the survival of her clan as the dastardly McNabs have been reiving and looting their sheep and steeling their children and women for years and forciing them off their land bit by bit.
When she falls out of a tree and landing on and knocking cold the Lord of the Isles himself he is wearing the plaid of the McNab and she is none the wiser
and thinks he is a dastardly, murdering, thieving, raping and pillaging McNab. And she isnt shy about teilling him what she thinks of him when he finally comes to. He is tempted to tell her who he is but wanting to investigate the situation between the rivaling clans before he decides to grant permission to the McNabs to take their land in punishment to the accusations. And he is sorely enlightened to the truth of the desparate situation. Before he can tell Grace who he really is he finds in them all in a situation with some theives that forces him to tell a lie that in telling it becomes the truth according to hgihlander tradition.
And then when Grace finds out his true identity she falls in faint and wakes with a serious decision to make.
