- Siegfried von Drachenthal: Northern Prince who has the ability to speak with animals. He is accompanied by a bird and is trying to escape his fate (as dictated by the Tradition) of Heroism and doom.
- Princess Rosamund: Princess of Eltaria, has basic skills and resourcefulness, and wants to make her own fate rather then let the Tradition dictate her life.
- Leopold: A roguish Prince, can make anybody laughs, likes to gamble and fun to be with
