“"Rip van Winkle" was a collection of several short stories including "The Spectre Bridgegroom", "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", as well as a few others. I really liked these stories because they were well written and creepy (at least for their time period). I thought that the actual story "Rip van Winkle" was pretty funny, but I thought that the ending was rather incomplete because it never explained why or how he woke up from twenty years of sleep into a new age where great changes took place in his village. As for the other stories, I enjoyed them very much due to their mystique storytelling”
