The author of this book is Armstrong Sperry. The genre of this book is Historical fiction. I say this because one, we are not sure that someone in the past had this problem and second it feels so real. How the character shows there feelings and their action in the story. For example, when Mafatu fight the shark, the description feels real. This story is about a boy name Mafatu, that he is trying to overcome his fear of the sea. So one day he thought that he had enough of his fear and went out to sea by himself and bring items that show he is over his fear.

I liked it the book call it courage for many reasons. I say this because like I said earlier, the story seems very real. The words the author uses, how the author explain the character and that i can envision the story more.Also the action this story have. For example, the battle between the shark and Mafatu. That was very crazy because the shark could have bit or damage Mafatu that could cause his death. I would recommend this book to the people that really love action and people that overcome hard problems in their life.
