“Caroline Cooney always writes books that keep the reader turning pages. Often, they are mysteries with a good deal of suspense. Sometimes, they address a moral or political issue built into the plot.
There is plenty of suspense here. Cooney tells the story of a hoax gone wrong - or not? The readers are not sure; the perpetrators of the "hoax" are not sure, and Cooney keeps everyone, both in the story and those of us reading the story, in a state of suspense until the very end. Highly recommended.”
