Liked It“Interesting account of four individual's journey from pre-med to med school to practiceing physician. Realistic portrayal of both student and MD like, funny and irreverant, jumps around a bit and ending is unclear, but overall a nice book.” see full review » see other reviews » |

I became so attached to the characters that I'd yell across the house to my mother when something happened that I didn't approve of. The writing is excellent, and there are certain places that will make you tear up. Great read.”

Fascinating short stories line up to form a losely connected series of doctor-related episodes, which turn out to give insights into the lives of the doctors, hospital realities, and personal realites as well. The writing is short in every sense, skips every unnecessary detail and strictly sticks with what's relevant - absolutely excellent. Also, the author has a lot of wit, so that I kept chuckling and giggling away... ”

Seems like health and a more balanced human experience through medical means is a distant goal post that who knows weather or not it can improve. This writer is an actual working doctor and portrayed the SARS experience with a wide and deep perspective. A really good book and I recomend it.”

I wasn't too sure about it at first, but after I saw it at the library, I thought I would give it a go, it's a great read from start to finish. ”
