“At first glance you might write this book off as a cheap Diary of a Wimpy Kid knockoff. One that incorporates Twilight into the mix even, and if you do that, well you are not totally off base. Yes this is pretty much a Diary of a Wimpy Kid meets Twilight book, but it is still very enjoyable. Nigel Mullet has been 15 for almost 85 years now. Since he was turned during puberty, Nigel does not have any powers. He is not strong or fast like his parents or younger sister, and while sun doesn’t kill him, it doesn’t make him sparkle either. All it does is give him a bad rash and worse acne. But now a new girl comes to his school and he is smitten, but how can he get her attention? And what would she do if she finds out his truth? If you are a fan of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, then give this book a chance, and find out if Nigel’s “life” gets any better.”
