Leviathan Avalon has learned how to harness energy and use it as a means of destruction. He displays this skill in a most devestating fashion when he focuses his energy on the Atlantic Ocean, conjuring a tsunami that inundates the entire east coast of the United States. Cities from Portland, Maine to Key West, Florida are deluged in the greatest act of terrorism in the history of humanity. The problem is that only one person knows this tsunami was created by a man, and the man who knows this is Antiquity Calais.

Antiquity resides in Los Angeles at the outset. He is a published novelist who has the gift of seeing natural disasters, sometimes before they occur and sometimes before they occur. Antiquity is asleep as Avalon wipes out the east coast, but he sees a vision of Avalon conjuring the energy to create the tsunami.

As Antiquity flies in a plane from LAX to Hartford, Conn., to visit his east coast family, he has the shock of his life when he sees Avalon on the same plane, a few rows in front of his seat. Antiquity suffers a heart attack, caused by the shock of seeing Avalon. On the other side of life, Antiquity meets his friends Gillian Usha, Sherman Yazu and the mighty Mundoo Asquith, and learns he has been given special powers to help him in his quest to fulfill his destiny as the Creator's Liberator.

Antiquity, Gillian, Sherman and Mundoo traverse throughout Creation, through multiple levels of heaven, and to the lowest depths of hell, setting the stage for the climactic final battle at the Castle of Armageddon. You won't believe the cliff hanger at the end of that battle, and you'll have to pick up your own copy to find out what happens!

Characters/People edit see section history

  • Gillian: Gillian is described as a fiery red head, but she is vulnerable, unsure of herself, and completely devoted to Antiquity Calais, from the moment their paths cross in the first level of heaven, known as The Rat Race.
  • Antiquity Chalet: In the Multiverse, there are beings who bear striking similarities to beings in the other universes. Antiquity Chalet is the Liberator in one of the alternate universes. Not all the universal liberators have the same powers, but when they all get together and pool their energy, watch out!
  • Leviathan Avalon: Leviathan Avalon is, for this book, the man you love to hate. He is like Darth Vader, while Satan is the Evil Emperor. But Avalon has an independent streak that makes him a wild card. He is arrogant, fearless, and a force even Satan should reckon with.
  • Mundoo: Mundoo Asquith is a larger than life guide, who assists souls in their journey through the levels of heaven until they reach Seventh Heaven and the Pearly Gates. He has been assigned to assist Antiquity Calais to fulfill his duties as Liberator.
  • Hinsdale: Hinsdale Williams resides in the planet Egalatar, and he mistakes Antiquity Calais for his friend Antiquity Chalet. He and his wife Anna invite Antiquity, Gillian, Sherman and Mundoo to stay the night in their home made of gold. By morning, they live to regret that decision, as the fog rolls in.
  • Mothman: Mothman is based upon the famous cryptid known for his exploits in the town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Although residents of that sleepy town along the Ohio River were traumatized by his many sightings, in this book Mothman is a chaotic force that Antiquity, Satan and Avalon would all like to have on their side. The question is, can Mothman truly be on anyone's side?
  • Sherman Yazu: Sherman is an interesting character, because he was created by the Creator in response to a request by Antiquity to provide answers to his many questions. In the beginning, he staffs the information desk in the Mall of the Universe. Then we see him selling tickets at the Astroplex, then serving as the Astroplex usher, and then as the projectionist at the Astroplex. Known for his trademark ear-to-ear grin, as the book progresses, Sherman becomes an integral part of Antiquity's team.
  • Admiral Odif Guanavak: Admiral Guanavak is the leader of the descendants of a destroyed planet named Anig. His people have lived on board a ship named the Chaldene. The ancient Anigans had formed an alliance with Leviathan Avalon to defeat their sworn enemy, residents of their sister planet named the Ossurians. Avalon helps the Anigans thoroughly destroy the Ossurians, but once that deed is done, he then destroys the planet Anig. The only survviors were the Anigans on the Chaldene, and each generation of Anigans for the next 1,000 years would call the Chaldene home. Guanavak is the leader of the Anigans when Antiquity arrives in the neighborhood with the intent of recreating the binary planetary system of Ossur-Anig. The Anigans join forces with Antiquity because they have remained in the same place for 1,000 years for one reason - to gain vengeance with Avalon if he should happen to pass through their space again.
  • Scheat: Scheat is a red giant star who communicates with Antiquity and Gillian, giving them the orders to "Undo" all of Avalon's works.

Quotes edit see section history

  • ““Well isn't it quite obvious, Mr. Liberator? I want you! And I have you, exactly where I knew you would be from the beginning of time. You see, it is fate that has brought you and I together. The Destroyer meets the Liberator. The classic battle between good and evil. In the end, there is always a clash of the titans.””
    Leviathan Avalon

Reading Level: Young Adults

This book deals with some heavy subjects, but is written in a way that would be appropriate for a youg audience. I wrote it for my son Tyler when he was eight, and now at age 11 he is anxiously awaiting the sequel.
