“Sylvia Compson, doyen of the Elm Creek Quilters, is marrying her longtime beau. She decides to use her own mother's wedding quilt for her own, only to discover that her sister had sold it and all the rest of their mother's quilts many years earlier. A computer savvy EC quilter puts a call out on the Internet, and as Sylvia and her fiance drive across country to tell his grown children of their plan to marry, they begin to make stops in search of the quilts.
