A colleague I used to work with had me read this book. I had him read George Gilder. Of the two, Gilder is much better. But this wasn't bad. He's basically arguing about the wealth-creating potential of knowledge--calling it alchemy--which is what Gilder is arguing in Wealth and Poverty. If you only read one though, read Gilder instead.
