The Fires Of Merlin is the third book of the lost years of merlin series. its abut merlin when he is just getting the hang of magic. but he is still a little prideful which, always makes things harder. it starts with merlin ready to unlock his full powers. Then an ancient creature that has the power to drain any and all magic. After this he goes out to find who has brought these creatures back. On his journey he looses his powers and makes a friend with Halley of the dear people. He finds out that the last dragon’s life is at risk and he is the only one who can save it. I enjoyed this book because it shows a true since of duty.

But according to prophecy, the one who destroys the dragon also dies...

    T. A. Barron is a master of his craft. The Lost Years quintet is lengthy but never boring like the majority of others in the genre tend to be. The characters are lively, emotional, realistic, and relatable. Fincayra is lushly described without taking up too much of a musty tolkein kind of precision and still maintains an air of mystery. Five stars all the way!

This book, is, I think, the weakest in the series, yet it is still amazing. At times it drags, but you quickly get over that as the action commences. Not the best in the series, but still excellent.
