Didn’t Like It“I absolutely hated this book. |
“I absolutely hated this book.
First of all, I did not appreciate Dennett's comical style of writing, espcially those Conrad conversations (so convenient), the whole part about Dumbo and those constant "Stop that crow!" interjections.
Next, more importantly, the book strays off course and delves into so many topics, contradicting all sorts of theories. So much so that by the end of the book, I still don't know where Dennett himself stands on the issue of free will. Is he a determinist? A fatalist? A compatibilist? or a libertarian? I have no idea.
The only part I really enjoyed in this book was the chapter with the prisoner dilemna. That was pretty good.”
