Liked It“It would be 5 but it's an old story but it was still fresh enough for 4. I loved the concept Ellis injects with the corporate culture of Doors, and bringing the UN weapon inspectors into a more action oriented mission. |

“A scifi blockbuster with awesome special effects.

“It would be 5 but it's an old story but it was still fresh enough for 4. I loved the concept Ellis injects with the corporate culture of Doors, and bringing the UN weapon inspectors into a more action oriented mission.
One thing that I love with non-superhero books is that they are not violence fueled fist-fights and the writers are able to tell human stories. ”
“This starts with an interesting premise: 100 years from now, coffins containing human-like creatures and strange highly-advanced machines are found in the frozen ocean of Europa, a moon of Jupiter. A giant, country-controlling corporation and a small group of researchers compete to decode purpose of this technology and the origin of these creatures. I generally liked the story and Ellis's snappy dialog (not to mention the slightly-dystopic-but-filled-with-marvels future setting), and the villain turned out to be more interesting than I first thought. The story feels a little rushed, though, I was a little disappointed by the "aliens" in the end - I think I would have preferred not to find out anything about them at all and left it as a mystery.”
