This book is utterly scandalous! This madman of 1000 (or is it 1001) names becomes the subject of conquest of an Amazon-like woman from Germany, determined to travel through the whole of the island with him in tow. That done she goes on to topple the social order in the lunatics native community, yet how like the enemy she is, not just in similarity of complexion but in world view.
